We’re not even halfway through 2018 and it is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting years yet on the Hatfield-McCoy Trails! Just last week we told you about the new Pocahontas trailhead opening up across from Four Wheeler Heaven. A few days later, Hatfield-McCoy Trails took the media on a tour of the new Warrior Trail System. And now, we have some video from the new trails and an opening date set for Labor Day Weekend!
The Warrior Trail System will be the eighth under the Hatfield-McCoy Trails, and will add 80 to 100 miles of trails to the 700+ miles already available for riding. The trailhead will be in War, West Virginia, the southernmost city in the Mountain State, and plans call for community connectors to Gary and Welch! There is also a planned connector from the Indian Ridge system to Welch, which means more than 300 miles of Hatfield-McCoy’s world-class trails would be rideable from Four Wheeler Heaven!
This new trail system has been in the works for many years now and we are excited that they’ll be open before the end of the year if all goes to plan. Of course, all your need is a Hatfield-McCoy Trails permit to ride ANY of its trail systems in West Virginia!
Four Wheeler Heaven still has some availability on Labor Day Weekend and throughout September but with the new trail system opening that won’t last for long. Browse our accommodations, check availability online or book online instantly to secure your chance to check out the new Warrior Trail System in fall 2018!
