Hatfield-McCoy Trails, Spearhead Trails offically connected! Ride two states from Four Wheeler Heaven

The East Coast’s biggest riding destination just got bigger with the official connection between West Virginia’s Hatfield-McCoy Trails and Virginia’s Spearhead Trails!

Virginia is located just a few miles from Four Wheeler Heaven and the Hatfield McCoy Trails’ Pocahontas trailhead. And savvy riders have been making the quick drive over the mountain to Virginia to explore the Spearhead Trails’ wide variety of trails for riders of all skill levels.

The announcement of the official connector between Hatfield-McCoy Trails and Spearhead Trails means riders can now ride between the two trail systems without ever leaving either trail system!

Spearhead Trails’ Original Pocahontas Trail System “The OP” offers 65 miles of scenic twists and turns in a deep-woods setting. The system provides spectacular views of surrounding mountains and trail access to the historic coal town of Pocahontas, Virginia. The Hatfield-McCoy Trails offer more than 600 miles of trails, including the Pocahontas, Indian Ridge, Pinnacle Creek, and Warrior trail systems. The Pocahontas trail system trailhead is located directly across Route 52 from Four Wheeler Heaven, and the system connects to the historic town of Bramwell, West Virginia, where the new connector to the Spearhead Trails begin.

We’ve heard from riders who enjoy elements of both trail systems, including the different topology, difficulty, and rules. We encourage riders to visit https://www.trailsheaven.com and https://spearheadtrails.com/ to review each trail’s rules. Four Wheeler Heaven offers sales of both trail permits to our guests, available on check-in for convenience!

It’s important to note that because Hatfield-McCoy Trails and Spearhead Trails are two different trail systems, each rider must have a permit for each system they want to ride. If you’re planning to ride for more than a few days, it’s a great value to have access to both systems, which collectively make up some of the best riding in the United States!
