In our last Trail Blog post, we announced the Ridin 4 A Cure event set for Saturday, September 21 and brought the great news that barrel racing, a mud bog and guided tours will be a part of the day’s festivities. Matt Hodock, owner of What Supp.? Nutrition and Fitness in Princeton, and Dr. Randy Maxwell organized the event. The event was last held last October after the July death of Maxwell’s wife. This year Four Wheeler Heaven is helping organize the barrel race and mud bog, and is helping to get the word out about this event that will make a difference right here in our area.
Money raised from Ridin 4 A Cure will go to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, where Maxwell’s wife was treated, for research and also to help with the Princeton Community Hospital Foundation to pay for travel and other expenses for breast cancer patients, according to the Bluefield Daily Telegraph article.
Pre-registration for Ridin 4 A Cure is a $25 donation per person. It will be held at Highwall Park, which is a flat park off of Route 52 between Bramwell and Coaldale that once hosted a large annual “ATV Rally” more than a decade ago.
