We’re right across from the Pocahontas trailhead… and we just got some good news about the Pocahontas trails!
It was originally announced that the Pocahontas trail system would be closing December 3, but that date has been extended to January 14, 2019. That means you have more than a month to come back to Trails Country and explore the Pocahontas trails one last time! Once the Pocahontas system closes, you’ll still have plenty of options to ride — the Indian Ridge and Pinnacle Creek trail systems each offer trails for riders of all ages and experience levels, and the Spearhead Trails’ Original Pocahontas trail system in Virginia is a must-ride if you’ve never made the short ride from Four Wheeler Heaven over to Virginia!
We do remind our riders that due to the active coal mining going on around the Pocahontas trails, riders should stay on marked trails in the area. If a trail has “do not enter” signs… just ride another trail! The mining area is off limits for safety reasons, and we want our guests to have a fun and safe time while riding our hundreds of miles of trails!
